The famous 'Grand Bazaar' at 75 acres (2km x 3km) is the worlds oldest, and largest shopping area.

The bazaar is only one part of Istanbul, there are many smaller market and shopping streets and also the 'spice bazaar' - similar to the grand bazaar, but a quite a bit smaller, a bit cheaper, and lot less touristy.
